Experience:
Took care of my great grandmother for many years before she passed on. This would include housekeeping, walks outside, fetching her groceries/medicines from the store (walking as I do not drive, helping her remember appointments, companionship. I found that the most important thing usually was to listen to her or provide her with stories when she asked, although I did have to be careful to check up on the state of things often as she would forget to do laundry, re-srock the pantry, etc.
